Service assistants

A service assistant is a professional who provides general support to a department of the company that has hired them.

In general, they have a wide range of functions, which may vary depending on the type of service to be provided. Mainly, they will ensure the proper functioning of the facilities and the place where they have been posted, as well as dealing with the requests of the professional or department assigned to them during the service and providing assistance to customers. Their functions and legal regulation are completely different and totally unrelated to private security, and they cannot perform functions aimed at the prevention of crimes and misdemeanors. In fact, according to the Home Office, service assistants are excluded from private security regulations.
